El Zapo Enamorado Restaurant Information

Located at 2280 NW 20th St, Miami, FL, El Zapo Enamorado Restaurant is a delightful spot that instantly draws you in with its authentic flavors and warm atmosphere. As soon as you step through the door, the vibrant energy of the place hits you. The décor mixes modern and traditional elements, with touches of local flair that make it feel distinctly Miami, yet comfortably familiar.

The menu here is a celebration of Cuban and Latin American cuisine, offering a variety of dishes that range from hearty comfort food to more adventurous options for those looking to try something new. Whether you're in the mood for a classic Cuban sandwich or something with a bit more zing, like their signature ropa vieja, El Zapo Enamorado has got you covered. The lechón asado, slow-roasted pork with a crispy skin, is another standout, tender and bursting with flavor that pairs beautifully with the side of garlicky black beans and rice.

What really makes this place stand out, though, is its dedication to fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods. Everything, from the sauces to the marinades, is prepared in-house, and you can really taste the difference in the quality. The seafood dishes, particularly the mojarras fritas (fried fish), are also popular here and serve as a nod to the restaurant's roots in coastal Cuban cuisine. Served whole, with a side of tangy, spicy dipping sauce, it's the kind of dish that makes you savor every bite.

The service is another highlight at El Zapo Enamorado. Staff members are friendly and eager to share their recommendations, which always adds to the experience. You’ll find that the team is quick to make you feel at home, offering suggestions based on your tastes and even chatting about the origins of some of the dishes. It's clear that they take pride in the food they serve, and that pride is reflected in the overall dining experience.

The atmosphere here is casual and lively, perfect for a night out with friends or a family gathering. The restaurant fills up quickly, especially on weekends, so it's a good idea to get there early or be prepared to wait a bit. But the wait is absolutely worth it. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a long, leisurely meal, the energy of the place makes every moment feel special.

For anyone in the area, El Zapo Enamorado Restaurant offers a little taste of Cuba in the heart of Miami, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the whole experience-the lively atmosphere, the welcoming service, and, of course, the unforgettable flavors that keep you coming back for more.

What People's Say About Place

Stepping into El Zapo Enamorado was like discovering a hidden gem, a truly charming and authentic slice of Miami's vibrant Spanish culture. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance enveloped us – a quaint, welcoming space with the lively sounds of Latin music playing from the jukebox, creating a wonderfully immersive experience. The staff, though primarily Spanish-speaking, were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of. Their warm hospitality truly stood out. And the food? Absolutely delicious! I opted for the chicken, which was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor, while my companion raved about their pork dish. Every plate felt freshly made, showcasing the kitchen's dedication to quality. But the real showstoppers were the juice drinks! The refreshing coconut water and vibrant cane juice were simply divine – a must-try for anyone visiting. Despite the exceptional quality and generous portions, the prices were remarkably reasonable, offering incredible value. Plus, the convenience of ample free parking made the visit stress-free. El Zapo Enamorado is more than just a restaurant; it’s a delightful cultural experience, offering fantastic food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Absolutely unique place, charming staff and owners, authentic and fun. If you're in the area make sure to pay them a visit!

Exotic with a feel of a voodoo bar somewhere in deep Louisiana with a twist. The jukebox plays latin songs only. It would help if U speak a little spanish. Good and friendly service girls. Refreshing coconut water or cane juice served to U straight from the source. Limited selection of dishes that are always served freshly prepared in the kitchen with great taste.

They have the best fresh juices: mango, pineapple, even fresh coconut water and sugarcane for a really good price.

On our way to Miami International Airport to drop off our daughter, we found this quaint little spot. they speak no English but we figured it out. my wife had chicken, I had pork, my daughter had chicken. The Juice drinks are to die for. the meals were very good. prices were incredibly reasonable

A very special place! Delicious food and very friendly service. Loved the vibe here... crates of fresh produce, the aroma of homemade Latin food, so much to love!
